Intradialytic Hypotension Early Warning System

• Intradialytic hypotension (IDH) occurs in approximately 10–30% of dialysis treatments. Acute drops in blood pressure may cause symptoms even when blood pressure remains above 90/60 mmHg, as rapid or substantial changes in blood pressure can trigger hypotensive symptoms. IDH is one of the most common complications of hemodialysis.
• Our IDH monitoring system combines AI-based predictive algorithms, medical-grade wearable devices, and a front-end monitoring platform. Using deep learning, the system integrates three types of neural networks with boosted-tree models to predict a patient's risk of hypotension.
• When the system predicts that a patient is at risk, it provides visual and audible alerts, allowing nursing staff to adjust dialysis parameters and address potential hypotension.
